Four fire crews called to roof blaze at Plantpak factory in...

Firefighters are tackling a fire in the roof of a factory building in between Mundon and Latchingdon this afternoon (August 4).Four crews were called to the scene, which is thought to be the factory of Desch Plantpak Ltd, at 12.47pm including two from Maldon, one from Chelmsford and one from South Woodham Ferrers. The incident commander has reported that the roof of the single-storey building is 25 per cent alight and crews are using one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
