AN INFESTATION of flies forced Maldon's new Wetherspoon's pub to close less than a month after its grand opening.The Rose and Crown was taken over by the pub giants, with £1.7million spend on a renovation of the High Street site, before its August launch, however an issue over waste forced a four-day closure this week.The pub was closed from last Wednesday until Saturday, and Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "The infestation in the pub is a result of the commercial waste not...
